We're looking for an experienced finance leader with 6+ years of experience to report to our fractional CFO and work closely with our CRO and CEO. This individual would be a clear communicator with superb attention to detail who is unafraid to ask questions and can ramp up quickly. This is a part-time position, with a 25-hour work week.
Summary
As the Finance Operations Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing Entri's financial processes and ensuring the smooth operation of our finance department. This is a hands-on position that requires a mastery of accounting principles and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Be Doing
- General Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting, including implementing more advanced features in QuickBooks, handling accounting support queries, and reviewing and categorizing transactions.
- Accounts Payable: Process contractor invoices and manage the Ramp bill payment system.
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable to ensure timely collections, manage custom workflows for enterprise clients, and handle account credits and bad debt clean-up.
- Payroll & Expenses: Manage payroll using Rippling/Remote.com and review and manage expenses.
- Rev Ops: Calculate commissions for the sales team, manage monthly partner payouts via Tipalti, and oversee the revenue cycle in the quote-to-cash system.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, end-of-month closing tasks, and various reconciliations. You should be comfortable with internal controls, audit preparation, and tax compliance, including sales tax and 1099s.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years in a finance leadership role, ideally in a startup environment.
- Skills:
- Mastery of GAAP accounting principles.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and other invoicing systems.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for modeling, formulas, and pivots.
- Experience with different revenue management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Education: A CPA, CMA, MBA, or strong equivalent experience.
- Systems Familiarity: Experience with NetSuite, Intacct, or other ERP systems is a strong plus, as we may migrate from QuickBooks in the future.
