Summary
We are looking for a disciplined and detail-oriented QA Support Specialist to join our team. This is a straightforward, execution-focused manual testing role; it is not an automation-heavy or complex QA engineering position.
Your primary objective is the high-volume, repeatable validation of checkout flows to identify functional discrepancies between different site environments (specifically comparing two sides of an A/B test distinguishable by URL parameters). You will ensure that every step of the customer journey—from landing page to successful checkout—is seamless and error-free across all devices.
What you’ll be doing:
- A/B Test Comparison: Ensure functionality matches perfectly between two sides of an A/B test by methodically comparing behaviors across different URL parameters.
- Execution of Predefined Flows: Follow strict testing checklists to validate "happy paths" (e.g., adding products to cart, applying Gift With Purchase (GWP) items, and completing checkouts).
- High-Volume Repetition: Run the same flows repeatedly across various environments with unwavering consistency and accuracy.
- Environmental Comparison: Methodically compare behavior between different URLs/environments and flag even the slightest functional discrepancies.
- Issue Identification & Reporting: Surface checkout blockers and functional inconsistencies.
- Console Error Reporting: Identify and capture console errors.
- Note: This requires identification and clear reporting, not deep technical debugging.
- Cross-Platform Validation: Perform manual testing across Desktop (Chrome) and Mobile (Android-Chrome/iOS-Safari).
- Documentation: Log issues with clear reproduction steps, screenshots/videos, and severity levels.
- Logging: Maintain daily testing logs and summary reports to provide visibility into site health.
Typical Work Flow Example
- Navigate to a specific e-commerce site.
- Add a product to the cart and apply a GWP item.
- Proceed through the checkout funnel.
- Compare: Note any differences in UI or functionality between the standard site and the Nostra path.
- Report: Capture any blockers or console errors found during the process and log them immediately.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in manual QA or web testing.
- Execution-Minded: This role is built for someone who thrives on process and volume; you must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high degree of precision.
- Technical Requirement: Ability to use Browser DevTools to spot and record console errors (deep code analysis is not required).
- E-Commerce Familiarity: Understanding of standard e-commerce flows (Cart, GWP, Checkout, and Payment Gateways).
- Communication: Strong written English skills to ensure bug reports are clear and easily understood by the development team.
